Mario
Williams was born on January 6, in the year 1984, in Tacoma, WA.
Around middle school was when he first started to get into music production.
Jermain Dupri, major hip hop producer and owner of So So Def Records,
was his influence when listening to music. In high school Mario was focused
on the acoustics of audio. His hobby was dealing with car stereo systems
and being able to choose the right configuration that would sound the
best in a given vehicle and tune it to a preferred listening style. Turning
down various prestigious universities, Mario chose to continue his audio
education at the Seattle Art institute.
At the Art Institute he has taken business courses which have educated
him on how to make money in the audio industry. Mario has proven skills
to successfully come up with sales, marketing, distribution, and promotion
of an album. He has learned how to use the industry-standard Pro-Tools
to record and mix music, along with Sound Forge, Acid, and Vegas which
were used to score a video. Proper miking techniques were acquired in
several classes that focused on recording techniques. The knowledge of
knowing which microphone to use in different situations with different
instruments was obtained in classes that dealt with recording sessions
and techniques. Mario has learned to record to different types of mediums,
such as 2 inch tape and digital mediums such as computers and ADATS. The
school has taught him everything from recording the music onto a media,
to mixing it down and creating a master copy of the piece. The importance
of proper file management was achieved by doing several recording projects
on computer using Pro Tools.
He now has his own studio at his apartment in Seattle, and he uses it
to record, mix and master audio. Now he is in the process of getting his
name known in the industry from making quality records that are accepted
by everyone. |
